Missing Anchorage boater George Green was found alive Monday morning, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Green, 41, had been reported overdue from a hunting trip along Knik Arm after he failed to return home Saturday night.
A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter had resumed the search at first light Monday morning. The helicopter spotted Green in the vicinity of the Little Susitna River, according to Petty Officer 2nd Class Grant DeVuyst.
Around 10 a.m. Monday, a rescue swimmer had been lowered in the vicinity of the Little Susitna River and was with Green, DeVuyst said.
"The boater was determined to be in good condition and left the airport with his family," according to a press release sent out by DeVuyst Monday afternoon.
Green had left Anchorage at noon Saturday, launching from the Port of Anchorage boat ramp en route to Point MacKenzie in a 10-foot skiff.
The Coast Guard, Alaska State Troopers and Anchorage Fire Department had been searching for Green since Sunday morning.
