Alaska State Troopers say three armed men broke into a Fairbanks home early Friday morning and held a family at gunpoint.

The men entered the Steele Creek Road area home at about 1 a.m, troopers said in an online dispatch. They "held the family at gunpoint and physically assaulted two of the family members," the dispatch says.

The two victims suffered minor injuries from the assault, said troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters.

Property valued at $3,000 was stolen from the home during the break-in, troopers said.

Peters said the suspects were masked and there is no vehicle description for the incident. Troopers continue to investigate, she said.
