Juneau police seek beach party stabbing suspect, say he's 'extremely dangerous'

Juneau police are looking for a man suspected in a stabbing at a beach party there Saturday night, warning the public he is "extremely dangerous" and should not be confronted.

A $20,000 arrest warrant was issued Friday for Joshua Levi Brown, 37, according to a statement from the Juneau Police Department. The warrant charges Brown with first-degree assault, police said.

Officers were called to the scene of the stabbing, a beach area off Thane Road south of downtown Juneau, at about 11:15 p.m. on April 22. The beach is commonly used for parties, police said.

A 24-year-old unidentified man had been stabbed in the stomach during a bonfire attended by at least a dozen young adults. He was initially treated in Juneau then flown to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center. Police said Friday he was in stable but serious condition at the Seattle hospital.

Brown is known to use various names, police said, including Charlie Hussle or Hustle, Charlie Brown, and Alex Douglas Dornbeirer. He is described as a white man, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 175 pounds.

Anyone with information on Brown's whereabouts is asked to call Juneau police at 907-586-0600 or submit tips through Juneau Crime Line.
