Wasilla man agrees to plea deal in 2015 Valley murder case

PALMER — The Wasilla man accused of killing 23-year-old Christopher Seaman in 2015 entered a guilty plea this month.

State prosecutors filed a notice of the plea deal with 32-year-old Joshua Beebe on May 1, according to a notice filed in the case.

Beebe entered a guilty plea to one count of second-degree murder in Palmer Superior Court on Monday in exchange for a 60-year sentence with 25 years to serve and 10 years probation, according to a transcript of Monday's hearing. He will make as-yet undetermined restitution to Seaman's mother, Terria Walters.

Seaman was found dead in his car in late June 2015 near the fireworks stands in Houston along the Parks Highway. A Palmer grand jury indicted Beebe on six felony counts of assault, robbery and murder.

The indictment mentions the use of a firearm and lists 28-year-old Robert D. Casello as co-defendant.

It also references a second victim, Joshua Jensen, whom Beebe allegedly robbed and assaulted on June 17, five days before Seaman was killed. Casello was apparently involved in the Jensen incident.

Casello is scheduled for sentencing June 30.
