Police: Man arrested in Anchorage after stealing truck at gunpoint

A man was arrested Saturday after a carjacking at gunpoint in Anchorage, police said.

At 2:25 a.m., Anchorage police received a report of an armed carjacking at the intersection of Elmore and Lore roads, according to a police statement.

A "preliminary investigation found two suspects (male and female) approached the driver of a black 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, forced him out at gunpoint and stole his truck," the statement said.

Officers located the truck shortly afterward at Lake Otis Parkway and Dowling Road, police said, and stopped the car at the intersection of Dowling Road and C Street.

Noe Bravo, 36, was arrested and taken to the Anchorage jail, police said. He faces charges of first-degree vehicle theft, first-degree robbery and operating under the influence, according to police. There was no one else in the truck, police said.
