No arrests in shooting of woman early Saturday in Anchorage

A woman was shot early Saturday morning in Muldoon. Anchorage police say they are looking for suspects and seeking the public's help.

Police were called at 2:59 a.m. to a report of shots being fired  near the 100 block of Oklahoma Street in Muldoon, police said in an alert. They found multiple shell casings.

About 15 minutes later, a woman arrived at a hospital with what police described as "life threatening gun shot wounds." The people with her are considered witnesses and were questioned by police, the alert said.

Police aren't saying whether they have suspects. As of Saturday evening, the woman was still alive, said police spokeswoman Nora Morse.

The Anchorage Police Department asks anyone with information to call 907-786-8900. To stay anonymous, tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 907-561-STOP.
