Police seek public help finding ‘person of interest’ in coffee stand robbery

Police on Tuesday released a photo of a "person of interest" in a February robbery of an East Anchorage coffee stand.

APD released a photo of a person of interest in the case of a robbery at gunpoint at Bikini Babes Coffee Shop on Feb. 17.

The robbery took place at the Bikini Babes coffee shop at 335 Boniface Parkway on Feb. 17. Police responded at 4:12 p.m.

Nobody was injured during the robbery. The suspect left with "an undisclosed amount of money," a police statement said.

The person of interest in the photo was "in the area at the time of the robbery," police said, "and detectives believe he may have information regarding the details of what happened."

Police asked the public call dispatch at 907-786-8900 and ask to leave a message for Detective Niwa, or make an anonymous tip with Anchorage Crime Stoppers online or by calling 907-561-7867.
