Three homes were hit by bullets but no one was injured after gunfire erupted late Tuesday in East Anchorage, police say.
Someone reported multiple shots fired just after 11 p.m. in the 5900 block of Sixth Avenue, Anchorage Police Department spokesman MJ Thim said. Patrol officers found shell casings in the area, which is near a park and not far from Boniface Parkway.
Police said witnesses described a black 1990s Ford Explorer SUV as being involved in the shooting. Thim said it wasn't clear whether the suspects were in or outside the vehicle during the shooting.
An investigation continues.
