JUNEAU — A Juneau grand jury has indicted a woman suspected of causing the death of her mother-in-law.
Juneau police say the grand jury last week indicted 35-year-old Jamie Singh on a second-degree murder count in the death of 59-year-old Mary Lou Singh.
Police on March 6 investigated a domestic violence report at a home and found Mary Lou Singh with a serious head injury.
She was taken to a hospital and later transferred to Providence Hospital in Anchorage. Jamie Singh also was treated. Police at the time said alcohol was a factor in the case.
Mary Lou Singh died March 13.
Jamie Singh was arrested Friday with bail set at $50,000.
Her attorney at the Alaska Public Defender’s Office did not immediately reply Monday to an email request for comment.
