Troopers: Togiak man arrested for entering house, attempting to molest girl

A 20-year-old Togiak man faces criminal charges for a September incident in which he allegedly walked into a house and attempting to molest a girl before fleeing on an ATV, the Alaska State Troopers said.

On Sept. 24, 2018 troopers received a report from the Bristol Bay village of Togiak “about a male walking into a residence and attempting to molest their younger daughter,” the AST said in an online dispatch. “When the daughter screamed, the male ran out of the residence and left on a green ATV."

Troopers put out an arrest warrant for Douglas Logusak of Togiak. He wasn’t arrested on the warrant until Jan. 11, according to the dispatch.

Logusak was charged with first degree burglary, third degree attempted sexual abuse of a minor and fourth degree assault.

“He was arraigned and released from jail the same day,” the dispatch said.
