Update, 5:25 p.m. Friday: A 61-year-old man found dead in an East Anchorage home early Thursday morning shot at a woman before turning the gun on himself, according to police.

The Anchorage Police Department identified Guy Walk as the deceased suspect in a public alert Friday evening.

According to police, Walk “died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” and the woman police say he shot “is expected to survive her injuries.”
