The truck struck the man in the roadway near Ingra Street and 12th Avenue just before 3 a.m. and then left the scene northbound, police said in an online alert.

The man was transported to the hospital.

Police said they did not have a description of the driver or know whether there was a passenger in the vehicle.

“The dynamics of the impact are still under investigation as far as where the pedestrian was when he was struck and who had the right of way,” police said.

Police asked anyone who witnessed the crash and hadn’t already spoken to officers at the scene, as well as anyone who might have captured the suspect vehicle on video, to contact police dispatch at 311, option 1.

On Friday, a woman walking across Minnesota Drive outside a crosswalk was critically injured when she was struck by a vehicle, police said. The driver remained at the scene.
