Troopers: Someone has been cutting hair off horses in Fairbanks

Someone has been cutting the hair off horses in the Fairbanks area and troopers want to know more.

On Friday at 5:31 p.m. troopers in Fairbanks were called to a reported theft and trespassing in the Goldstream Road area, the Alaska State Troopers said in a statement.

“Investigation revealed that an unknown individual had entered a property and cut the hair off of a horse," troopers said.

It was apparently not an isolated incident. Troopers were “notified of similar instances in the area.”

Anyone with information on the horse hair thefts can call Alaska State Troopers at 907-451-5100.
