Original story:

A woman was shot in the upper body Monday night when an “unidentified suspect” opened fire in East Anchorage, police said.

Someone “fired multiple shots” on the 1500 block of Hoyt Street around 8 p.m., according to an online alert. Police said the suspect fled the scene.

The woman was brought to the hospital with “serious but non-life threatening injuries," police said. No other injuries were reported, and police said they believe the incident was isolated.
