Man seriously injured by stabbing in Northeast Anchorage, police say

One man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed early Sunday, according to Anchorage police.

Two men were at a home on the 5600 block of Alora Loop when they started to fight around 5:30 a.m., police wrote in an online statement. One of the men was stabbed in the upper body and police said someone else in the house brought him to the hospital.

Police said the suspect fled the scene and there were no arrests by about 8 a.m. Sunday. No description of him was immediately available.

The men knew each other and police said this is believed to be an isolated incident.

Police are asking anyone with information or surveillance footage of the area to call dispatch at 311 or submit a tip at AnchorageCrimeStoppers.com.
