Two men were treated at the Valdez hospital after a man pulled a knife at a Valdez bar late Thursday, police said.

Police were called to the Boardroom Night Club bar just after 11:30 p.m. in response to the stabbings, the Valdez Police Department said in a statement Saturday. When officers arrived, 38-year-old Antonio Delmonte was being restrained at the back of the bar, according to the statement.

Two men were treated for non-life-threatening wounds to their head and chest, the department wrote.

“Witnesses reported seeing Delmonte produce a small knife and grab one of the victims by the head, slashing them across the jawline,” police wrote. “Delmonte then allegedly stabbed a second individual in the chest after they attempted to confront him about the first assault.”

Delmonte was also taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police wrote.

Delmonte was charged with first- and third-degree assault and tampering with evidence. He’s being held at the Valdez Regional Jail.
