Officers responding to a report of the assault at the arena just after 1 p.m. found the injured man outside the building, according to an online update. He was transported to a hospital.
The arena houses the municipality’s emergency homeless shelter. No information was immediately available about the nature of the assault or who was involved.

No charges had been filed as of late Tuesday afternoon and there is “no current public safety threat related to this incident,” they said.
