Original story: Alaskans are being asked to keep an eye out for a 15-year-old boy last seen more than a month ago in Fairbanks, as investigators seek leads in the case.

Alaska State Troopers released brief details on a missing-persons case for Ian Licko, as well as a photo of him, on Monday.

"(Licko) was last seen April 29, 2016 in the downtown area of Fairbanks," troopers wrote. "Licko is approximately (5 feet, 9 inches tall) and was known to be wearing a blue jacket and jeans."

Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters said Monday morning she didn't have word on when Licko was reported missing or whether he was considered a runaway juvenile. She said troopers tend to post notices and photos for teens like Licko after investigators have already been "trying for a while" to find them.

"The point is, we are still … trying to find this person and any assistance the public can provide is great," Peters said. "Maybe it's someone they've seen on the street and don't realize needs to be accounted for."

Troopers ask anyone who has seen Licko or has information on his whereabouts to call either local law enforcement or the Fairbanks troopers post at 907-451-5100.
