Fairbanks water hauler dies in rollover crash

A 28-year-old Fairbanks man died Tuesday when the commercial vehicle he was driving rolled several times, Alaska State Troopers said.

Kyle Lawson was hauling water in a tanker truck on the Old Nenana Highway west of Fairbanks when the truck rolled while he was navigating a turn, troopers said in a statement. Lawson was wearing a seatbelt, said spokesman Austin McDaniel. Troopers were called to the area at 11:34 a.m.

Lawson died at the scene, troopers said.

The vehicle was owned by Pioneer Wells, McDaniel said. Lawson was on his way to a residential water delivery when the crash occurred, McDaniel said.

McDaniel said an investigation of the crash is ongoing.
