Palmer man dies from injuries suffered in collision

A Palmer man died Wednesday from injuries related to a Monday night crash, Alaska State Troopers said.

David Stanton, 55, was eastbound on Palmer Fishhook Road around 6:25 p.m. when his 1996 Nissan pickup slid sideways into oncoming traffic, troopers said in an online alert. His truck struck a 2011 Ford F-150 pickup, troopers said.

Stanton was not wearing a seat belt, and troopers said he was thrown from the pickup. The driver of the other pickup was not injured.

Stanton was brought to the hospital with serious injuries, troopers wrote.
