A 26-year-old Anchorage man died late Thursday when his Subaru collided head-on with a semitrailer on the Glenn Highway near Palmer, Alaska State Troopers said.
Witnesses told investigators the southbound Subaru went out of control near Mile 38 and crossed the center line. It collided around 9:20 p.m. with the northbound truck, troopers said.
Sean Doyle, who was driving the Subaru, died at the scene, troopers said. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and impairment was not suspected, accorded to troopers.
The Glenn Highway was closed for about three hours after the crash.
