The drive home from work became a wildlife viewing opportunity for an Anchorage man on Thursday evening.
John Walsh was driving on Elmore Road around 7 p.m. Thursday when he saw cars already stopped and a bull moose standing on the side of the road.
Walsh shot a video from his car as a massive bull moose ambled past. "It was really awesome!!!" he wrote in a Facebook message.
Despite the proximity, Walsh said he wasn't scared.
"I've lived here 5 years and worked outdoors a lot. I would have been if I wasn't in my car. Haha. I'm way more scared of moose than bears for sure," Walsh wrote.
