Anchorage police say a car hit a moped on the Glenn Highway Saturday evening, killing the driver of the moped, which led to the closure of the highway's outbound lanes near Fort Richardson.
The crash happened about a quarter-mile past the Fort Richardson overpass just before 6:30 p.m., a police press release said. Initially, all outbound lanes were shut down there, but as of 7 p.m., the left lane was open, police said.
It could take several hours to process the scene as police investigate the crash, the release said.
