UPDATE, 12:45 p.m. Wednesday: Anchorage police say missing woman Ilike Boyle has been found safe.
Police spokeswoman Renee Oistad said in a Wednesday statement that police had made contact with Boyle, 71.
"We are grateful to the alert citizen who recognized Ilike and called in her location to APD," Oistad wrote.
Oistad confirmed Wednesday that Boyle was unharmed, but didn't have details from responding officers on when or where she was located.
Anchorage police say a woman missing for months still hasn't been found, and they're once again asking the public for help.
Police reported 71-year-old Ilike Boyle missing on Dec. 3. Ilike hadn't been seen for "several months" when the initial missing person alert was released by the Anchorage Police Department.
As of early December, Ilike had not been seen recently at her home, and Adult Protective Services had made no contact with her.
Police are asking people to take another look at Ilike's photo and call the police department at 907-786-8900 with any information about her whereabouts.
Ilike is 5-foot-4-inches tall and 122 pounds with gray hair and green eyes, police said.
