Girls basketball: Tuesday's CIC games

East 50, Dimond 36

The East T-birds knocked off Dimond 50-36 in a battle between two of the top Cook Inlet Conference girls basketball teams Tuesday at Dimond.

Lorna Suaave scored nine points and Taria Page grabbed nine rebounds to lead the T-birds.

Dimond got a boost from Shameah Jones (8 points) and Lexi Wingert (8 rebounds).

South 47, Bartlett 29

South handled Bartlett 47-29 Tuesday despite a big game from Bartlett's Sudana Moyong, a 6-foot-3 junior.

Zulia Cole dropped in 12 points and Sabrina Ungara added 11 to lead the Wolverines, who withstood nine blocks and 21 rebounds from Moyong in the CIC contest at Bartlett.

Sarah Deng scored 11 points for the Golden Bears.

West 64, Service 28

Eady Marshala's triple-double propelled West past Service 64-28 in a CIC girls game at Service.

Marshala racked up 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the Eagles. She scored eight points in the first quarter to lift West to a 16-10 lead, the only quarter in which Service scored double figures. Theyoung ?Pudy added 16 points and Fu'a Malaetia chipped in 14 for the Eagles.

Kyla Pearce's six points led the Cougars.
