UAA's Mullings is GNAC women's hoops co-Player of the Week

UAA junior Megan Mullings, who sparked Division II's top-ranked women's basketball team to a pair of regular season-ending home victories in preparation for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference tournament, has been named the conference's co-Player of the Week.

Mullings delivered a career-high 29 points, eight rebounds and three steals in a mere 23 minutes to help the Seawolves conquer Seattle-Pacific 83-70 Thursday. She followed that with 14 points, a career-high nine rebounds and five blocks in Saturday's 74-64 win over Montana State-Billings.

Mullings, who shared the weekly award with Saint Martin's Megan Wideman, has furnished double-figure scoring in 12 consecutive games and became the fourth different Seawolves player to win the weekly honor.

Conference regular-season champion UAA (27-1, 17-1 GNAC) awaits the winner of Thursday's Saint Martin's-Simon Fraser quarterfinal. UAA will play the winner in a Friday semifinal at 12:15 p.m. AST in Billings, Montana.
