Troopers: Armed, dangerous Kodiak man wanted after multiple assaults

A 19-year-old Kodiak man is wanted for assaulting the same woman twice, then fleeing before officers could arrive, Alaska State Troopers said.

In an online dispatch, troopers wrote that Bryce Beltran assaulted a "female acquaintance" in the Bells Flats area of Kodiak. Before authorities arrived Beltran left, armed with a .308 rifle, in a stolen vehicle, troopers said. The vehicle was recovered later that day.

Then, two days later, troopers received another report of an assault "committed by Beltran on the same victim in the same location," troopers wrote.

Once again, troopers said, Beltran fled before they arrived.

He is now the subject of two $25,000 arrest warrants.

Troopers said they believe Beltran is armed and dangerous, and warned anyone encountering him to avoid making contact. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911.
