The executive director of the Anchorage Community Development Authority, which oversees public parking and real-estate development, said on Tuesday he has resigned.
Ron Pollock, who joined the authority in 2007, is scheduled to vacate the directorship May 8.
"My wife retired a couple years ago and we have some travel coming up," Pollock said. "I think it's time to do something different."
Pollock serves on the boards of directors for Habitat for Humanity and BidSync, an Internet-based procurement company based in Utah. He has worked in real estate for about 30 years.
Mike Mills, chair of ACDA's board and a partner in the Anchorage office of law firm Dorsey and Whitney, declined to comment Tuesday.
