Man found dead, frozen to the ground in Bethel

A man was found dead and frozen to the ground Thursday afternoon on Blackberry Road in Bethel, police said Friday.

There were no obvious signs of trauma or reasons to suggest foul play, Bethel police said in a written statement.

Police identified the man as Frank Gary Mojin, 52, of Bethel.

A report about an unresponsive man frozen to the ground was made to police at 1:49 p.m. Thursday.

The body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Anchorage to determine the cause of death.
