Cyrano's end-of-an-era party

Bring a potluck dish and your favorite Cyrano's story to this inevitably dramatic affair marking the end of the theater company's 25-year run at its downtown location. The stories and memories partygoers share will be recorded and/or written down for posterity. If you can't be there, email your favorite Cyrano's memory to Sandy Harper at cyranos@ak.net. Cyrano's will begin its 26th year later this month at its new location at 3800 DeBarr Road. Sitka Summer Music Festival's Autumn Classics

The Sitka Summer Music Festival is presenting concerts this weekend at the University of Anchorage Alaska Recital Hall. On Friday, pianist Navah Perlman will present "A Musical Memoir," a concert outlining her journey through music and through life. On Saturday, pianist Natasha Paremski returns to Anchorage. Violinist Nikita Borisevich, violist Martin She and cellists Jia Kim and Zuill Bailey will play works as well.
