Spenardian Launch Party

The Spenardian, an online news blog focused on the storied Anchorage neighborhood, is hosting a launch party to raise funds to make a magazine. The event will feature food from Bear Tooth Theatrepub, The Magpie, A Pie Stop and Dipper Donuts as well as beer, wine and coffee from Spenard Roadhouse and Aquila Coffee Works. Sea monsters of Alaska

The Alaska Museum of Science and Nature is debuting an exhibit all about the "monsters" of Alaska. The new addition features a 32-foot canvas painting of the dinosaurs, ancient oysters and extinct sharks of the Talkeetna Seaway as well as actual fossils from the Talkeetnas and Denali National Park.
