Coming up: Super Saturated Sugar Strings, a vaudeville variety show and a dance party that’s magic

A vaudeville variety show

A variety show in Spenard will feature vaudeville acts, including jugglers Jim Kerr and Christian Haich, mime Brian Hutton, magical acro performances by Orion and Iris, music by local artists like Connor Crowley and Francesca Erni  and more. Magical video dance party

Show: Super Saturated Sugar Strings

Jam out with local favorites Super Saturated Sugar Strings as they kick off the first annual Great Alaska Music Festival with a performance celebrating the best of the Alaska music scene. $18 in advance, $20 at the door. 21 and over. 8:30 p.m. Friday, 49th State Brewing Company, 717 W. Spring skate jam

Start the skate season with the Blue & Gold Boardshop. There will be a dedicated skating area with ramps and grind bars, music, a sale on skate shoes and more. Celebrate Tap!

Get your toes tapping and celebrate National Tap Dance Day. The Tap Studio will showcase its best and brightest as you enjoy pizza and bottomless soda. $18 for children ages 3-12 and seniors 62 and over; $23 for adults in advance, plus fees. An all-male revue

If you happen to be in the midst of launching a bachelorette/divorce/off-the-wall birthday party, this might be for you. Girls night out: The Show, a nationally touring all-male revue, will be in Anchorage for the weekend.
