This weekend: Music tributes, a comedy show and a hip-hop bash in Anchorage

The 710 Comedy Show featuring Mike Glazer and Friends, 6 p.m. Saturday, Alaska Cannabis Exchange, 2906 Spenard Road

The Backyard at the Alaska Cannabis Exchange is the venue for this comedy show featuring Mike Glazer. Glazer’s writing has appeared on shows on HBO, Food Network and Comedy Central and he was named one of 2022′s “100 Most Influential People in Cannabis” by High Times. He’ll be joined by Ali Lu, Joe Stolz and others. Tickets are $30.

Washed in Black - Pearl Jam Tribute, 6 p.m. Friday, Matanuska Brewing in Eagle River, 11901 Old Glenn Highway

This band is a Pearl Jam tribute act from the Pacific Northwest. From songs off classic albums like “Ten” to more recent material, this band should deliver some favorites to fans of the prolific grunge band. Tickets are $15-$32.

Anchorage Summer Arts in the Park Concert Series, 4:30 p.m. Friday, Anchorage Museum, 625 C St.

The Anchorage Museum is hosting free Friday concerts all summer as part of the Arts in the Park series. This week’s featured performer is Tyler Desjarlais. Attendees are invited to bring their own chair or blanket and grab some takeout from a favorite downtown establishment.

Hairball - A Celebration of Arena Rock at Koot’s, 8 p.m. Friday, Koot’s, 2435 Spenard Road

Hairball performs arena rock favorites from Kiss, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Queen, Motley Crue and more. This show will be at the outside parking lot at Koot’s. Tickets are $40/$90.

Underground Pride 2022, noon Saturday, Alaska State Fairgrounds in Palmer, 2075 Glenn Highway

This Pride event aims to “promote community wellbeing, and help bring together members of the LGBTQ+ family,” according to its Facebook page. It includes 105 vendors, seven food trucks, two family-friendly shows, weddings, vow renewals and a family comfort station.

Tayy Tarantino Birthday Bash, 10 p.m. Saturday, Al’s Alaskan Inn, East 79th Avenue

Tayy Tarantino is one of the state’s hottest hip-hop artists, with his latest single “Living Fast” racking up more than 100,000 plays on Spotify. DJ Beeone will be providing music plus performances by Keola, Think2wice, Cody Banks and Ron Bass. Tickets are $20.

2022 Alaska Yoga Festival, 9 a.m. Saturday-Sunday, Kincaid Park, 9401 Raspberry Road

This all-day event features classes and workshops on both days. The festival is done in partnership with Face Foster Care in Alaska. There are also DJs in the evening on Saturday and live music options on Sunday. Tickets available at akyogafest.com.
