Zac Brown Band will play 2 shows in Anchorage

The three-time Grammy winning Zac Brown Band will play in Anchorage in August.

The country band first made its mark with the 2008 hit single "Chicken Fried." Since then, Zac Brown Band has topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart 11 times and been nominated for eight Grammy awards, going on to win three: best new album in 2010, best country collaboration with vocals in 2011 and best country album of 2013 for "Uncaged."

The band will play two shows at the Alaska Airlines Center Aug. 11 and 12, as part of the "Welcome Home" North American tour.

Tickets will range from $69-$150. Presale tickets will be offered Monday. General ticket sales start March 17. See the Alaska Airlines Center website for more details.

This is the second big concert announcement this week – Moose's Tooth announced three-time Grammy winning artist Ben Harper will headline its anniversary show July 24.
