Harrison Sturm, the voice behind Willem Of Midnight, is a 17-year-old solo singer songwriter who wrote “Mars” — a slow, acoustic song about escaping away to the red planet.
Sturm has been playing guitar for 13 years and just finished the Anchorage School District Gifted Mentorship Program where he worked with the owner of Surreal Studios Kurt Riemann.
As a studio musician and performer, Sturm was a part of the Hiland Mountain Lullaby Project in October and November. The project is a concert of lullabies written, with the help of Anchorage musicians, by inmates of Hiland Mountain Correctional Facility for their families.
Sturm released “Mars” May 15 and is working on his EP “Bloom” that he hopes to debut by the end of summer.
