OPINION: The Alaska Legislature is poised to commit the state to a path to ownership in a pipeline project we cannot afford, and to paying costs for shipping gas we do not produce. And despite the administration’s assurances, many of the project's waypoints may be signed without public involvement or legislative approval.

OPINION: The Alaska Legislature must check the overreach of executive power. It should stop or substantially change HB 77, should pass legislation enforcing DNR's constitutional duty to analyze impacts and notify the public, and it should conduct oversight hearings on regulation changes proposed under Administrative Order 266.
