Blue Ice Aviation: Good flying weather for hunters

Plane reflection on the water

I took this photo of Mike just before landing in a little valley called One Shot in the Chugach Mountains. We were picking up a couple of sheep hunters. When we dropped the hunters off on Aug. 7, the lake was black with down drafts and gusts. But when we picked them up, the lake was awesomely smooth. We are currently sitting in a fog bank, but all in all the early part of this hunting season has provided some great flying weather.
