Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge welcomes Executive Chef Lanny Chin

Talkeetna, Alaska – Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge welcomes Lanny Chin as executive chef. He is responsible for the culinary experience at the Foraker Restaurant, the Base Camp Bistro and all catered events including weddings, meetings and conferences.

From an early age, Chin could be found observing his grandfather, a chef at the old Cleveland restaurant, Theatrical. He worked his way up from dishwasher to executive chef for the Hyde Park Group. To gain additional culinary knowledge, he stepped down from his position to enroll in the International Culinary Arts and Sciences Institute. After completing the program, Chin further expanded his restaurant knowledge by acting as dining room manager for J. Alexander's. He has worked at Chicago's Alinea as well as an executive chef position in Cleveland at Lago.
