Two people killed at South Anchorage home

The Anchorage Police Department was investigating a double homicide at a home on Spinnaker Drive in South Anchorage on Tuesday night.

APD says officers responded to the home around 7 p.m. At the scene, officer John Daily described the apparent circumstances of the deaths. A man had come home and found his wife and daughter dead, Daily said. The daughter was in her late teens or early twenties and the wife was in her late forties, he estimated.

Daily said police believe the incident is related to domestic violence but wouldn't say how. A pickup truck that police had been searching for earlier in the day, which was later found, belonged to one of the victims, Daily said. He would not say where the truck was found or who, if anyone, was in it.

No suspects had been arrested as of Tuesday night.

APD spokeswoman Jennifer Castro did not release any additional details Tuesday night.
