Alaska State Troopers are looking for two men in Kodiak who reportedly impersonated police officers on Saturday night and fired a pistol when a juvenile questioned whether they were actually law enforcement officers.
The Kodiak Police Department and Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of shots fired at Mill Bay Beach in Kodiak just before midnight on Saturday, troopers write.
According to troopers, two men dressed in black and wearing ski masks approached a 17-year-old male, claiming they were police officers and demanding the minor identify himself.
When the minor questioned whether they were law enforcement officers, one of the men pulled out a pistol and fired the weapon, troopers said.
The two men fled the scene. The minor was uninjured.
