Actor Shia LaBeouf is hitchhiking in Alaska for art

Actor Shia LaBeouf, known for starring in blockbuster films including the Transformers series and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," is in Alaska for a collaborative art project called #TakeMeAnywhere, but not for much longer.

LaBeouf and collaborators Nastja Rönkkö and Luke Turner have been hitchhiking across the U.S. the past 30 days, and Thursday is the final day of the project.

LaBeouf tweets coordinates, and then the trio waits for a ride. "Whoever picks them up first will be able to take the three collaborators wherever they choose," according to VICE.

On Wednesday, LaBeouf posted a photo with coordinates placing him at 36th Avenue and Minnesota Drive in Anchorage.

On Thursday morning, the Take Me Anywhere website showed LeBeouf in transit, heading south along the Seward Highway.

Take Me Anywhere was commissioned by the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and the Finnish Institute in London, in partnership with VICE.

The Transformers actor has posted coordinates roughly once a day since the project began May 23 in Boulder, Colorado.
