Words all too often disappear

Like rivers in mist

Or the great mountain

Lost in the ferment

Of its own weather

And so it is

When the drums call my dance

The words I struggled long to keep

Are lost when the drummers

Tap the beat

Without words

I am just a simple hunter

Alone among the laughing women

Who do not understand
