Fourth and fifth grade students from five elementary schools along Chester Creek are taking part in a salmon watershed study program. On Wednesday, May 4, some of the students gathered at Westchester Lagoon. The students checked water quality, identified salmon and studied the human impact on the lagoon. The program is a partnership between the Anchorage School District STEM Department, Alaska Geographic, Alaska Sea Grant, the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
