No measure of consolation fully dulls the pain of losing, but it's not as if UAA's 6-2 loss Saturday night came at the hands of pretenders.

Nope, St. Cloud State looked pretty good at hockey, as befitting a program that last season advanced to an NCAA regional final.

The No. 17-ranked Huskies ambushed the Seawolves for three first-period goals, withstood the host's second-period rally and poured on more production in the third period to seize the championship of the Kendall Hockey Classic at Sullivan Arena.
