LA Memorial Coliseum used in adult film

LOS ANGELES — The LA Memorial Coliseum field has hosted many memorable events: USC football games, two Summer Olympics, JFK's acceptance of the Democratic nomination, and even a Mass with Pope John Paul II.

Now, it can add one more credit to that list: porn movie.

The Coliseum was reportedly used as a location for "The Gangbang Girl #32," a hard-core pornography that featured "40 minutes of group sex on the gridiron turf," the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

The film was shot in 2001, and it is unclear how the director got access to the field or received permission to switch on its lights, the Times reported.

However, the University of Southern California is not to blame for the mishap: USC just received the rights to manage day-to-day operations of the stadium on May 14, according to ESPN: before that, the city controlled the facility's management, meaning the hot and steamy scenes happened on taxpayer-funded turf.

The Coliseum's former General Manager Patrick Lynch resigned in early 2011, and was indicted in March 2012 in a "sweeping corruption case," the Times reported.

"That's disgusting," said Lynch's attorney Tony Capozzola of the porn shoot. "He would never allow that."

"I was just in awe that we were at the Coliseum," a star of the film, who goes by the name Mr. Marcus, told the Times. "I've made movies for about 20 years and I've done a lot of things, but that one really stands out.… I mean, who gets to have sex on the Coliseum floor?"

"Really, can you blame Mr. Marcus?" wrote The Sports Grid's Dan Fogarty. "He got to perform on the same field where legends like O.J. Simpson, Marcus Allen, and Reggie Bush made their name (although Mr. Marcus' performance was a little different, we think)."
