Sexy warm-up routine makes Australian hurdler a hit (VIDEO)

Australia has itself another favorite world-class hurdler, who's making a name for herself with a "sexy" warm-up routine who's that has to be seen to be believed.

Michelle Jenneke, 19, wowed the crowd at the IAAF World Junior Championship last weekend in Barcelona with her hip-wiggling, shimmying, leg shaking pre-race jiggle — a video of which has had hundreds of thousands of views since it was uploaded to YouTube.

"You have to appreciate anyone who enjoys themselves this much," USA Today wrote.

It helped for Jenneke's running cred that she then creamed the field in her first women's 100-meter hurdle heat, the paper added.

And while she may have placed fifth in the final — and failed to qualify for the London Olympics, where she would have faced the likes of fellow Australian and, according to the Fairfax media, 100-meter hurdles favorite, Sally Pearson — she has a ready made fan base.

Sky News didn't hold back, describing the warm-up as "sexy."

Sky compared the performance with less spontaneous but equally eyebrow raising displays by Aussie swimmer Stephanie Rice, who posed in a revealing bikini-clad "selfie" picture on Twitter (more on that here).

Meanwhile, the Sydney teenager with a hurdling personal best of 13.39 seconds, has reportedly describes her hobbies as soccer, AFL, handball and hanging out with her friends, according to

Also: "As far back as she can remember, she has had a passion for hurdling, even lining up teddy bears for jumping practice at her parent's home when she was very young."
