We’re working to improve how we cover Alaska. Help us by taking this survey.

We recently asked readers of the print version of Alaska Dispatch News to participate in a survey to give us a better sense of what content they value most. The newspaper remains a key part of what we do, but as readership continues shifting from print to online, we wanted a better sense of what was important to those readers.

We received more than 1,500 responses, and the results were clear — readers place a high value on quality local and statewide news. They had a lot to say about it. The comments were heartening, and I want to say thank you to everyone who participated. I expect to be writing more about that in coming days.

Now we're drilling deeper. We're launching a new survey to get a better sense of what's important to you. The survey is aimed at everyone — whether you read ADN on a mobile device, on a desktop computer, in print or via social networks. We want to hear from our most regular readers and from people who come across our content only occasionally. We want to know how you get news and what concerns you.

All this is aimed at helping us be as useful and relevant as we can be.

As a thank-you for your participation, you'll be entered to win a $250 gift voucher at Alyeska Resort.

Take the survey here.

Thanks, as always, for reading. Email me at dhulen@alaskadispatch.com.
