America, watch what you wish for

Thanks, Richard Rhyner (Letters, Jan. 5), for speaking up for our successful prez! From ground-breaking legalization of pollution to tearing national parks to pieces, Trump is setting the pace for America's future. While former allies sprint to the exits and embrace a trillion-dollar renewable energy industry, our prez shows his backside and bets on a dying fossil fuel industry.

Kudos on deregulation. Dirty air, dirty medicine, dirty water, dirty politics, dirty business, dirty everything — including $$ — is what makes America Great! "Money, money, money …" For corporations, politicians and rich folks anyway. Can't wait to spend that iffy $100 a month in reduced taxes on a gas mask and water filters, but dang, I won't have any left over for medical insurance.

But, yeah, it's great the GOP got something passed. And opening ANWR! Especially when oil company profits are huge, oil cheap, plentiful and still environmentally toxic. With the oil rich National Petroleum Reserve infrastructure already in place, Lisa et al., is willing to drill baby drill into virgin wilderness.

With the help of Trump's Obama inheritance he hasn't ruined the economy, stock market or jobs, yet, but is fine adding trillions to the huge national debt. At least he hasn't started WWIII, yet. How great is that?
