Letter: Galvin is the change we need for Alaska

I met Alyse Galvin several years ago working with Great Alaska Schools Anchorage, where she was tirelessly fighting for our kids and teachers to provide adequate funding for Alaska's public school classrooms. For many years, Alyse spent weeks in Juneau speaking with legislators about funding public education. She traveled around Alaska organizing parents, teachers, and students to rally for increased school funding. She is incredibly passionate and committed to bettering the lives of families in Alaska.

I am proud to support Alyse in her candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives. Alyse is an independent, able to cooperate productively with all backgrounds of legislators to reach policy decisions that will benefit Alaskan families and keep resources within our communities. Her plans for education, health care policy, jobs, safety and the environment prioritize everyday Alaskans.

Alyse is the change we need in Alaska to support working families, put people above big money politics and protect our communities.
