Letter: No more school cuts

Have all the cuts to the University of Alaska over the last few years, and the loss of so many faculty members led to this sorry state? How could the UAA School of Education know for a year or more that they needed to spruce up their “data” and not make sure the job got done and done right? Was it a lack of competent people running the place? And now we have an administration that promises more cuts to education in Alaska.

What’s next? We need to get back to the traditional splits in oil revenues and start paying some state taxes before we slip into the tundra.
